Description
Sommarøy is a collection of lower-proof craft spirits named for a Norwegian island where the summer sun never sets. Sommarøy Gin is small batch and hand-crafted using legacy distilling techniques. Our Gin is twice - distilled with thoughtfully curated botanicals in a 100-year-old copper pot still to deliver a clean, smooth Gin at a lower 55 proof to ensure the good keeps going. Pleasant to sip and delightful to shake or stir into a cocktail, Sommarøy Gin is an excellent addition to any bar cart.
Tasting Notes
Beautiful aromas of fresh citrus and warm yet calm spice and floral notes fill your glass. Upon sipping, you are greeted with botanical juniper, meyer lemon peel and coriander top notes, complemented by mellow bottom notes of sweet cassia and earthy angelica root. The end result is a balanced mouthfeel and an elegant, clean finish. Sommarøy Gin is exquisite and easily takes center stage in a perfectly dry Gin martini. Yet, it’s versatile enough to do right by the classics, too: a Gin Fizz, a refreshing G&T, or our signature favorite: the “Som” Collins.
